Harden up princess

Harden up yourself. If you'd followed this thread instead of just randomly sticking your 2 cents in you'd see that I'm just pointing out the FACT that  simply being Anglo doesn't automatically
make you immune from racist slurs.

we were in training at work a few weeks back and a fellow tiger supporter mentioned Jack was his favourite player and when asked why, he said, "just bc he's a ranga and everyone hates rangas". Now there was a red haired lady next to me and even though she tried to smile it off, I could tell she was quite uncomfortable with that comment. Just bc you're not black doesn't mean stereotyping doesn't hurt too.

That young Collingwood supporter/goodes incident, I think was handled disgracefully by Goodes, the afl and Collingwood. She probably knew what she said imo, but that doesn't mean she should be tarred for life. Why hasnt some sort of public follow up been done where they can share with all and sundry that she has since been educated with the help of the AFL and Collingwood football club and that Goodes is showing some class by openly forgiving her bc shes just a young kid trying apologise and become a more enlightened individual. It could have been a genuine feel good, good news story that would have done wonders for the issue. Instead what it has done is create a sense of anger and hostility amongst some in the community. I find that im actually angry at Goodes for the way that young kid has been put through the ringer, and that's not a good thing. On one hand you campaign for apologies from past wrongs and on the other you wont forgive or give a poo about a kid with a loose tongue. For mine he is a hypocrite and the afl and pies are gutless bc they are too afraid to try and do anything for the kid in case they are construed as being sympathetic to the terrible racist

seriously ...how good are Essendon travelling .

After starting the year in a blaze of glory...
Rd 4 ....flogged by Freo.
Rd 5 ...beaten by Saints
Rd 6 ....beaten by Collingwood ( despite being 6 goals up )
Rd 7 & 8 lucky wins over crap opposition
Rd 9 flogged by Sydney in Melbourne .

Essendon have not kicked more than 10 goals in a match during this period.

Doubt that's going to continue for the rest of the season (ASADA stepping in not withstanding) - at some point the run will end. Useless stat really.

So you're actually proud of being a grown man who still paints his face for the football? Or does that shh emoticon indicate your shame?

Ambrose playing the VFL despite being named on the Bomber interchange. So it looks like Daniher will be the late in for them.

Kavanagh has sat on the bench for their VFL side the whole game. So that's two of their emergencies not playing in the VFL.

You know what?
I'd rather be a guy who celebrates his team than spend his time bagging it.
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”
