Could mcbean do worse than vickery?
« on: March 18, 2014, 08:16:48 PM »
McBean led up in Nab1 playing on the best full back in the league. And got in front.

Vickery couldnt/didnt when it counted, and spilled chest marks on the odd occasion he was in front.

Would we be better off playing McBean if its a matter of getting a proper chance at a contest? Would we be better off developing a lead up forward in McBean by giving him senior game time? At least hed be better below the knees than Vickery. .....

He's still not ready. Just needs more size. Give him more time int eh VFL and don't destroy his confidence by throwing him to the AFL wolves imo

x3 . surely if we are talking about any tall to take vickerys spot it has to be elton. hes in yr 3 hes a great size already at 197cm and 100kg. the one thing ive always  liked about this kid is his marking.
the concern though is his maturity and his for want of a better way of saying mindset he is still timid by all reports.

what is scary is the simple fact that mcbean and elton are the only two options on the list to replace vickery or riewoldt  and mcbean is being touted as a future ruckman by the club which only further exacerbates the problem..
as far as development goes we should not even be contemplating these two as kpfs. maybe come in and play a third tall role here and there to gain  some experience.

Give Ben Elton a go
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

Must show he has his manoeuvrability back in the twos.

Elton John should be the one elevated to replace Ty.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Or maybe Vickery could get another game before we nail him to the cross.  :shh
