Too many times....

I noticed on numerous occasions hawks players 10 meters ahead of our guys in one on one sprints to the pill! Please our best preseason, I'm tired!!

Hardwick keeps saying our sideways movement and slow buildup is not part of the gameplan, i simply cannot believe this given over the first 6 weeks we have played this style consistently. The other thing which was noticeable today was that the first instinct of players was to head to the wings. On one occasion Martin had the ball and there were three tigers unmarked in the centre corridor but he chipped out to the wing where the receiver went back from his mark. Immediately all players upfield were marked to which the next kick went to a contest where of course the Hawks accepted the loose ball. This has happened week in week out, sick and tired of Hardwick claiming this is of the players own doing, thats BS. I would prefer the players play on at every opportunity and if caught with the ball then so be it. Simply chipping around until we make the standard skill error resulting in a rebound goal is just cruel to subject us supporters to every week.

Made the same comment to a mate at the game.  I also said I wouldn't care if they got caught. Just play on immediately at all cost down the corridor and not to the wings. It couldn't be worse than the slop we are being fed with.

Haven't checked the stats myself but a mate told me we had 2 running bounces for the game, hawks 19. Players just not prepared to take em on

Lack of foot speed and lack of confidence.
Not quick enough hence we chip/handball sideways to someone else until the inevitable turnover.

Funny said the same thing too

Said if we make mistakes taking the game on then I'd live with it. Rather that than then taking what seems likes 5 minutes to move the ball 5 metres and gifting the ball to the opposition

Should've upgraded Banfumbles.

On second thought, let's not go to Richmond. It is a silly place.

We seemed quicker today. It funny how fast you seem when you take the game on.
