Who is to blame and why?
« on: May 18, 2014, 07:25:44 AM »
As an appointed apologist to this forum, I would like youse out there to educate me. Whose fault is this season 2014?
Why do you blame them?
What is required to fix?

No rhetoric like Tigeritis or culture - what exactly do you propose and how will this address our win/loss ratio?
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Don't let the players off so easily Jack

They are as much to blame as the coaching dept.

Far too many have gotten ahead of themselves

And IMHO the Club has also got way too ahead of itself believing that we are far better than what we actually are, our recruiting last year in particular shows this
"Oh yes I am a dreamer, I still see us flying high!"

It's the coaching staff.

Players play to instruction and are lazy because they feel no pressure from above.

Exhibit A. Newman, Grigg, Edwards, Houli and Vickery

How can you remove mediocrity when players get rewarded week in week out with game time

Only way forward IMO is to remove the whole coaching staff and start again. We have a descent core of players to work with but the coach down need to be sacked for us to move forward

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Look into our coaches box and you see who? local coaches at best. Daly & Williams (midfield spread) please.... :help Surround yourself with average personnel and you become average.  Worst coaching structure in the comp bar none.

The coach- good coaches invent game plans, dimma plagiaris' them.
The club hierarchy- in the pursuit of profit they have sought an easy fix and in the process forgotten about those who helped them become debt free, the fans.
The players- like us, they were fooled into thinking they were good players.
Recruiting staff- you don't have to be a brain surgeon to realise that players rejected/traded from another are rejected and traded for a reason. They are not up to it, so leave them alone and blood kids instead.

Players getting ahead of themselves. Last year our personnel got the job done ( 5th place is a great result ). Maybe losing wayne campbell and lepitsch had a greater effect then expected.. but honestly I think the players crawled into their shells after the Rd 1 lost to gold coast. Defensive running would be the worst in the game. No one wants to win if it means being stuffed after the game.

It's always the same people trying their hearts out to win the game ( cotch, morris, vlastuin and mcdonough yesterday, ) and the same people that are happy to coast along and accept defeat, ( grigg, houli, chaplin, ellis, vickery, hampson, the list goes on.) I feel its not too late for ellis and vickery to turn things around but the others are dead wood rotting our club. they have to learn winning games takes everything you got these days, you cant go at 75% and expect to win. Somehow the players still haven't realised this. a new coach may be the solution but I honestly think this is just tigeritis at its best, nothing dimma could have done to avoid this. RFC the coach killers.

Ha ha. Yes a true apologist for mediocrity asks this question. Why?
Why are you asking this now? Have you finally realized we are up poo creek without a paddle?
Answer this:
Whats the main issue? What's your solution / How does the club fix this?
The club that keeps giving.
