Don't need the unsuccessfulness of the Saints brought to the RFC, we are quite capable of unsuccessfulness on our own

Lenny Hayes has been a revered figure in football for some time, that's generally a good start when looking for qualities in a prospective coach. We missed Paul Roos when he retired from playing, Garry Lyon....this may be a master stroke succession plan , go Benny go  :shh

We've gone from FJ masterstrokes to Benny masterstrokes.
We are doomed.
BTW if Garry didn't leave the cushie world of footy tv to coach the Dees let me give you the hot tip he aint coming to the RFC. That's my mail. :thumbsup
RFC approached Gary Lyon to coach soon after his playing days buster as they did with Paul Roos well before he was coach of the swans ...maybe third time lucky  :shh
He'd never put his reputation on the line, Bo, and I hope he doesn't.  Can't stand him.

You referring to Lyon or Hayes Froars?
I get the feeling BJ has emptied the liquor cabinet at his joint. :help
I may have confused things in my ramblings, what I meant is we just missed a couple of key figures as they've stepped straight out of playing, made a big play for both Lyon and Roos before they went onto do anything at all....nows our chance with a similar type in Hayes, hope it turns out this time

I'm pro Lenny.

I'm not against him but Blair Hartley, Mark Williams (not Chocco) and Danny Daly need to get the heave ho. We need new blood but experienced blood also from successful clubs and systems.

Agree with that.

I'd like to see Akermanis take the place of Daly.

Has coached in his own right and is just the sort of character to break the skata cycle.
Who isn't a fan of the thinking man's orange Tim Fleming?

And their bombs and their guns.

Cameron Ling now that he is looking for a coaching gig is someone we should be seriously looking at. Would make a great assistant coach.

Agree Tiga on all points.
Rumours were circulating not long ago Melbourne were the front runners.
Has been linked to North as well.
Would be a real coup by the club if they could get him across but like most things with the RFC they just seem to good to be true. :help

You guys are delusional if you think Ling would come to our club and even more delusional if you think dear old Damian would allow it. This would open up the for Ling to take over so it won't happen not this year not ever.

RFC have no brains so expect more monkeyball rejects like Jetta or Gartlett, and unsuccessful assistants. To be honest I'm surprised we weren't the first club to have a female assistant. Would have fitted in nicely with the blue oyster bar factory we are assembling.

What we should aim for is Ratten, Ling and Bomber. Forget these other amateurs who have no idea about success and are largely unproven like our coach who will be unemployed in 12 mths

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

I think we're past blooding new assistant coaches, we need more experienced talent to take us to the next level.

OUT: Hayes
IN: Knighta

Ling wont be coming to Tigerland.

Knights will only come to Richmond as a senior coach. I for one would prefer him to dimwit
