The AFL agrees , rub him out for a week , but let’s all others get away with it,
I thought he did some good things, took a couple of marks, got the ball 10 times, got down and tackled

Well Soldo can tap it down to a teammate.

Seriously though, I thought his 3rd quarter yesterday was the best he's ever played. Did some good things around the ground including kicking a goal which is unusual for him at AFL level.

Soldo was one of the reasons we won last night his ability to negate Grudy's usual dominance the the ruck was crucial.

Great to watch his development as a Richmond player

Honestly surprises me sometimes with his physicality.

Will never be quick or agile but he tucked well and kicked the sitter he needed to. Good idea not to rush Nank back IMO.

He started playing AFL pretty late so credit to him for how far he has come

TAKE THAT NANK

Ivan Soldo may be keeping Toby Nankervis' spot warm but he certainly provided one of the highlights of the night with a freak goal early in the third quarter.

The big ruckman seized on a short boundary throw-in and stuck his left boot out to perfect execute a soccer-like cross which sailed through the middle of the goals.

Haha, Soldo has grown on me but surely nobody can credit him for that goal, give him 100 chances and he'd never kick it again! Haha

He actually executed a very good volley later in the game, has a soccer background I believe so probably needs to be given more credit for the skill he showed.

Pretty sure it's his cousin who is/was president of some local soccer club. Don't see too many 7 foot strikers wandering around, he'd be stuffing hopeless

Incorrect Soldo's background is predominantly basketball, that is what he was playing before we took him as a category B rookie. Actually his younger brother is also a basketballer and was at the AIS under scholarship

Yes, cousin Magic is President of St Albans soccer club but Soldo never played

Not a soccer background but most Croatians coming from the Western suburbs know their way around a soccerball. Would have been kicking one around with his mates since he was in nappies. you could see the control he had with both his volleys that he understands the round ball.

You've quoted the wrong part of the post and you should have mentioned Koller not Crouch :lol

Diocletian is conspicuous by his absence on this thread.

Since Soldo has been putting in solid performances and showing he belongs at the senior level Diocletian has been a no show.
