Or you know I understand that people can see games differently and don’t present opinions as facts.

Also don’t see the need to pot players on teams I supposedly support beyond saying they had a bad game.

Great comment. Some on here sure do present options as facts.I have never thought Soldo was a decent Ruck and for the first quarter and a bit he proved me wrong. But he just wasn't up to it after that to the point that his direct opponent had such a influence I would call him a game winner. Nank and Ryan over him anyday for me.

There are plenty of average players in the AFL. In all teams including premiership ones.
Average players can also play roles that win matches. I get the sense that Soldo did this for a half yesterday.
What I don’t understand was swinging Balta up forward.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

I agree with the Soldo selection against Gawn we needed a mature ruckman to go against him.He is not the future though. Imo he never has been.

Nankervis is our #1  ruckman and coming back from holiday. Play Nank drop ivan and pick Ryan as the second ruck and third tall fwd.
Riewoldt is being slaughtered without adequate tall help so Ryan kills two birds with one stone id be hoping they also play Bauer who is no dinosaur
he moves well is a decent height and takes a good mark.

Its laughable that they think it better to play blokes like Mansell, Baker, Graham and Pickett who has stunk it up as a fwd since being moved off a wing where he was playing great footy.

The trouble for Hardwick and now McQualter is if they play natural fwds like Bauer and second ruck/fwd Ryan along with the likes of Cumberland, Bolton, Clarke even Coulthard then favorites have to miss out. They steadfastly refuse to make hard decisions. Going in with dysfunctional fwd halfs week after week and its promising kids missing out.

When Gawn started dominating, Nank would've at least been smart enough to start infringing and give away frees to hold up the play and give our defence a chance to set up. :shh

Balta and his buddies down back had one of the worst combined performances from a key defender group I’ve seen. The goal he kicked when he went forward was better than anything he was doing down back.

That they did.
I just don’t think Balta is a guy who you swap around.
Dees don’t do it with Lever or May.
I like that.

Balta also doesn’t strike me as a footy nufftie so swapping him around probably will more likely confuse him than help us

First half was great but playing against one of the greatest was a tall order.

He got a jolly good rogering and it was embarrasing in the end.

Not fit enough to run out the game after injury, should have been rested more in the forward line to at least compete .

Marvel, pairedwith Nank against Footscray was always going to be the perfect storm for a demonstration of what a slow and utterly useless lump this bloke is and so it was. Couldn't even belt Libba properly ffs. :shh

Think that streak ended against Gold Coast. So he doesn't even have that now. :shh

Playing this guy proves that the club has failed in both recruiting and development.

It’s ok to top up with a project player when you’re winning premierships and have salary cap restraints but we just keep playing this dud over and over.

It’s embarrassing watching him.
