Ivan Soldo traded to Port [merged]

There's only Sweet 26yo 11 games and a kid Vilenti Visenti or something who is developing at 21 and just 3 games.. He Ivan should be playing most games but i wouldnt mind betting the kid goes past both him and Sweet.

I suppose Ivan has always been servicable at the ruck contest but what a liability he has been in just about every other thing he did on the field.
I suppose they just need a ruckman who can get it to Rozee and Butters because they for sure are not inside  hard ball winners.

Whilst on Port reckon they seriously lack quality small/medium forwards, rucks and a serious lack of depth in mids,yes they have a few gooduns here  especially rozee but they lack mids especially  big inside mids especially if Wines continues his downward slide.

Soldo had one of his best games last night but what was with the woman who was part of Soldo's little group in the Port rooms during BT's Roaming Brian. She was yelling at the camera "How does that feel now Richmond?" Made little sense as it was Ivan who decided to leave.

Sometimes makes me think this game is pretty pretty simple if these maladroit beanstalk footy clodpoll types can just waltz into a club and get games handed to them on a platter. Especially those who didn't play the game as a kid ie. Cox, Soldo, Holmes etc.

That's why I look at the Ryan Sampson's of the competition and think how the heck can't you make it if Cox and Soldo are gettting regular games! It just highlights how useless and laggard players like Sampson end up being.

Think about it, if your 200+ cm, all you need to do to make it as an AFL player is to be at least as good as Soldo
