Jake King announces his retirement [updated]
« on: July 28, 2014, 01:39:16 PM »
Kingy and Dimma will be doing a press conference at 3 pm today.

I would guess Jakey will be announcing his retirement.

Reckon that's a pretty good guess  ;D

Newy to hold a press conference to announce he has bilateral calf strains that he hopes will be better by February next year. Hoping for a 2 year contract extension!

Just announced.

Jake said his toe injury has been too difficult to get over so he has decided to retire. No farewell game either as he can't get back on the park.

And we all know what that means...................................

We couldn't get up for Tommy playing Meltank so how the hell are we going to beat GWS for Kingy?   :help

He was played out of position for most of his career but once he was played as a defensive forward he has done great things for the team.

I along with James Brayshaw am going to miss the push up and the grunt he adds to the forward line.

Great leadership, retiring for the benefit of the younger players

Once moved up forward he came into own. Not every player on a TEAM has to be a Royce Hart ability wise, it takes all type and Jake gave us something most players dont.  His forward line pressure was one of the things we never replaced this year. Will be missed by the team no doubt.

Thanks Jake
