Who do you want to put on the trade table ?
« on: September 09, 2014, 07:32:29 PM »
My two are Conca and Vickery.Conca is a average player at best and there's plenty running around like him in the state comps. He is not a pick 6 as he is not elite in anything in his game and to see him do a tagging job sometimes makes me mad.I reckon both WA clubs would bite and I would take there first rd pick rightaway. As for Vickery I can see alot of clubs looking at him I would put him on the table and see what we a offered and take it from there if the deal is right for us I would consider it.

I don't care who of this lot is under contract, that means nothing as we have seen in the past, contracts can be negotiated between clubs..

Edwards; we should seriously look at the trade, I know it won't happen but this is only the second time he has had value, the last time was in 2011 from memory...

Batch; does not have anything but aggression and being a hard nut to offer. He is slow, has average skills and is not the way forward.

Morris; same as above but with more value at the trade table

Grigg; may suit St Kilda or Melbourne who are desperate for any experienced player to help them out.

Conca; just doesn't want to be there, let him go home, his hearts not in it where he is and it shows on field, watch a few of the games he has played in. Could get us a high draft pick or at least a decent pick from the West.

That's about all I would consider that we may be able to fool other clubs with....maybe. I still think Vickery has value, I just hope it's at the RFC, one more year I think will tell us, it's taken Griff a while to show up.

Batch and Grigg. I can't for the life of me see why they would want to hang onto Arnott if they won't play him so he can go too. We'll get more for Arnott than the other two combined.

Cotchin, Martin, Vlastuin.

2 things:-
Clubs won't want our crap players so stop posting that dribble
Conca, 4 years with no pre seasons. You will be lucky to get a 3rd rounder - 2nd rounder at best. So, we are better off seeing if he can get fit first.
Beyond that, Vickery or Griff are our best chance at getting overs in a trade.
Bulldogs would be prime trade buddies.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

I think you may of just taken the dribble award. Griff, really .... :huh, they re-signed him 2 weeks ago WTF are you taking about? The clubs I named would look at the players I named, god only knows why but we did.

Was going to post something similar

IMV everyone should be on the table for the right deal

There's only 7 I wouldn't offer up the rest for the right deal are available

Martin, Rance, Maric, Reiwodlt, Vlastuin, Cotchin, Deledio

IMV the player with the best currency who could get us a 1st rounder is Vickery, he's the one.

If Vickery is traded to the Dogs I can see Higgins coming our way as part if that deal. :-\

Has to be for a draft pick a first rounder at least otherwise this could be the McMahon deal part two and given Higgins run with injuries he'll just replace Knights on the list as the injury prone import. :help

You do this every year and every year you come up with the same numbers and just about the same names I am sure.. :lol :thumbsup....the funny thing is you are right and it's bloody scary that that's all we have that we wouldn't trade...

No point spruiking that as newsworthy. Was obvious to most and hardly newsworthy.

Have to look to trade with clubs like GWS and GC who have surplus kids and are homesick to,come back to Victoria. Furthermore blokes like Titch would fit in beautifully there across HFF at GWS.

Grigg would get game time at a St Kilda or a Melbourne. I'd take an empty West End can of beer.

Conca for Darling was touted a few years back, maybe Scott Lycett could be a solution to that and help with our ruck stocks to give Ivan a chop out.

Given the Mitch Clark saga at Melbourne maybe Melbourne could be a possible destination for Vickery
given Clark may want out. First round pick or a deal for Chipper Frawley or forget it they are just skata for the most part.

I'd even look at Houli as well. His errors in the first quarter were critical and his errors in the third in last year's elim show that with him we aren't going much further than what we are. Need another Lids type bloke off half back who is a sound decision maker with exquisite foot skills.

Agree with WP 7 untouchables.
