Sorry folks I'm tied up in meetings all day so. I won't get to my selections for St Kilda until around 5pm

Alternatively if Mr OE is around he can do them for me
I walked out of  a patient consultation to do mine WP!

St Kilda

Pick 21: COREY ELLIS (Western Jets)
Ht: 185cm
Wt: 76kgs

We are genuinely surprised to see Copey available at pick 21

From: http://www.afl.com.au/draft/draft-machine
The inside word: Left-footed medium midfielder who is a star at the clearances with his clean hands and makes quick and correct decisions. Uses the ball well by hand and foot and has good game sense. Averaged 14 disposals and four tackles in his five matches in the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships. Missed the late part of the season with a foot injury, which forced him out of testing at the NAB AFL Draft Combine.

Pick 22: TOM LAMB (Dandenong Strigrays)
Ht: 193cm
Wt: 84kgs

We need a tall forward and we believe Tom can develop into long term KPF

From: http://www.afl.com.au/draft/draft-machine
Tall forward/midfielder with elite endurance, excellent goal sense, footy nous and strong hands overhead.
"Oh yes I am a dreamer, I still see us flying high!"

23. GWS - Connor Blakely (Height: 186cm, Weight: 81kg, DOB: 03/02/1996, Club: Swan Districts, WA)

Blakely is a prolific ball-winning inside midfielder who excels at stoppages. He has top endurance, is exceptionally well-balanced and strong in the hips, and is evasive in traffic, which enables him to keep his feet under pressure, side-step oncoming tacklers and dispose of the ball cleanly to teammates on the outside. The main question mark on Blakely his his pace but his vision and evasiveness in traffic enable him to still enables him to win clearances and find time and space.

Unlike many of the other young draftees, Blakely already has experience playing against men having played regular senior football for Swan Districts in the WAFL this year where he averaged 18 possessions from his 14 matches. So he's ready to go round 1, 2015, which will suit the developing Giants' midfield. In the Under 18 Championships, Blakely was clearly WA's best midfielder, where he averaged 21 disposals at 79% efficiency, seven clearances and 5.5 tackles and as a result was rewarded with All-Australian honours.

ARTICLES: http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-11-06/meet-connor-blakely

Raff Guadagnino, WAFL: "Connor is one of the most rounded people and players we've had this year. He watched him as a 16-year-old playing half-back and half-forward but he's turned himself into a really good inside midfielder since then which is a really good achievement. He's very professional, an intelligent kid who has that bit of presence about him in the group."

W. Bulldogs- pick 26 Oscar McDonald         North Ballarat Rebels Victoria

18.3.1996        Height: 196cm                        Weight: 84kg

Like an eight-hundred metre runner sprinting home on the final lap, Oscar McDonald’s late charge saw the versatile star top the TAC Cup Coaches Award with 30 votes.

McDonald, the younger brother of Melbourne FC defender Tom McDonald, won the TAC cup coaches award despite missing action in the first halve of the season.

With an ability to haul in contested marks and mix it with the best forwards in the competitions, McDonald could prove the perfect option for The doggies who are looking for a robust defender.

But at 196cm, he has also proved a handful for opposition backman, with the ability to win the ball on ground level as well as in the air.

W. Bulldogs pick 27 - Touk Miller (Calder Cannons)

Height: 177 cm
Weight: 80 kg
Position: Midfielder/Forward

Miller, this years Vic Metro Captain, is simply too good a player for the doggies to let slip beyond their seconpd pick, especially having snared a promising key back at pick 26. He is a powerful on-baller with a strong trunk and legs that make it difficult for him to be pushed off the ball at contests. In 13 TAC Cup games this season, he averaged 22 disposals and five clearances.

He's best inside those stoppages, using his quick hands to get the footy and dish it out. He also likes to push forward when he can, and he averaged a goal a game in the TAC Cup this season, including three goals in the Cannons' Grand Final defeat.

One-on-one Miller is hard to get around: his core strength and dogged attitude is difficult to counter.

Miller ran 10:19 for the three-kilometre time trial at the NAB AFL Draft Combine and uses that aerobic capacity to defend well across the ground, a trait easy to miss but important nonetheless.

what are the chances of him slipping to our 2nd pick? seems he's rated in the 2nd round so may be a chance?

Given that our club has publicly stated we are looking to boost midfield stocks, would we draft quality tall prospects if they fell to our picks?

Pick 28: Calton. Damien Cavka
Another mid for the blues. Damien had a great last half of the year. One of the fittest players in the draft Cavka just goes and goes and goes. He can hit the scoreboard too.
