I believe Grigg should not be offered another contract after this year and would offer Houli 1 year. We need to retain talent beyond the next year or so as they are our future. Grigg and Houli are Premiership players and solid (most times) soldiers but not players i believe we should play into their early 30's...just my take.

I tend to agree with you here. Particularly with Houli
As we've seen with other players from other clubs such as Burgoyne they are offered 1 year contracts year after year and it keeps them motivated. And even he said on radio once that its good to stay hungry to keep your spot.

Would be extremely short-sighted (no pun intended) to let emerging talent go while hanging onto the likes of Grigg , giving multiple years to Houli or waiting for an injury-prone dud like Conca to not be shyte... :shh

What do you think is a fair deal for Short?
I love the kid and think the $250k/$275k mark is about right.
Thoughts?

2 year deal on that and re-visit then.

Closer to 400 than 250 for mine.

Agree. Grigg would get a few years at GC no doubt.’

Send him there with Conca. Problem solved

Question if a club put a first rounder for him 8 to 18 would you consider it not advocating for it just consideration.

Pay Shorty decent money to keep him.
Move Grigg on.
Offer Houli a 1 year deal on reduced coin.

Funny stuff all this talk.
Houli was arguably the best player in a GF win and half a season later he's surplus.
Some Richmond fans really do get bored when we keep winning.
