well considering we had to play BS games like North Away at Hobart and North Home at Etihad, it's a fair effort to only go down by a little bit.  If last saturday night v bombers wasn't pouring, would have been a much better crowd too.

This number is incorrect .

The official crowd from the mcg is 40270

If the AFL has put up the wrong number then its a disgrace. We have been robbed of our well deserved status as the No 1 club in the land.

The AFL website article has both figures:

As the sun set on the 2015 home and away season, a healthy crowd of 40,270 watched as Heath Hocking sealed the Bombers' first win since round 15 - 14.11 (95) to 14.8 (92)

Official crowd: 42,270 at the MCG.

The second one looks to be a typo as the official MCG twitter feed has the 40,270 figure and this was apparently the figure shown on the scoreboard.

"Full time at the 'G: Collingwood 14.8 (92) defeated by Essendon 14.11 (95) by 3 points. Official attendance today is 40,270 #AFLPiesDons"

Patrick Keane, from the AFL on twitter, has confirmed the Pies vs Dons crowd was the lower 40,270.

"The reporter must have misheard the figure and filed an incorrect number. Crowd was 40,270 today."

So we're officially No.1  :thumbsup  :clapping :highclap :veryhappy :wavetowel :gotigers
