Aesthetically it doesnt look all that flash IMHO. It looks a bit cheap to be honest, I suppose what counts is what happens inside the building nevertheless I dont think the building fits in the environment. I also think its going to date real quick.

I like it Ramps.  Reckon it's imposing and will become quite iconic in it's location over time. And I enjoyed the time-lapse video - put the size of the construction task into perspective.  I also didn't realise how much bigger the new facility is compared to the old one.

I think it would have looked better with a nicer quality facade. That corrugated iron look makes it look cheap.

Wash your mouth out!  :o ;)

It's bold, modern and all Richmond.

Would you rather them have gone with a north melbourne style upgrade?

I think I know what FLAGS and Infamy are saying.

To the club's credit the building's grown on me a lot actually - it's unique, eye catching and distinctly richmond. It's much, much better looking than I anticipated from the mock up. :thumbsup

But yeah, a part of me still thinks it looks a bit garrish/cheap and wouldn't mind a more "traditional" looking building to go with the ground, the trees and the MCG. Traditional doesn't mean you can't be stylish - and it certainly wouldn't date as quickly.

Was this year. No bloody summer at all. Needed the rain though.

Don't know that you could rave much about QLD weather this year though. I'll take a few days rain over tropical cyclone Yasi any day.  :thumbsup
