The soil most probably rejected its grass transplant. Richmond no doubt will be reaching out to Augusta to donate more grass.

It's due to the nitrogen in the dog pee. Male dogs tend to pee in many different places to mark territory, where as female dogs prefer to pee in the same area, thus concentrating dog pee (nitrogen) in all the one place. It's the same effect as over-fertilisation.

I knew reading all those useless fact columns and New Scientist mags would come in handy one day.

Speaking from experience that is strathayr lawn and dogs both male & female I can say that the damage done to the lawn thanks to the female dog constant watering was massive
