The players must be loving the surface. :)

Great achievement by club and it's supporters.

Is that Benny on the Boundary with a Coffee in his hands?

The ground markings look fantastic and although as Mrakov said it looks a little dry, It looks very even and free of Caddy Shack style Gopher holes.

Yep think they need to be very careful not to "over use" it and thereby chopping it up too much. Very dry January we've had in Melb so far

the surface will be ok if they have a decent watering system in place. itll be interesting to hear what the players think about the surface, afterall they are the ones who will be training on it.

It has an excellent watering system it uses the same re-cycled water system that they use over at the MCG but still need to be careful if the root system hasn't knitted as deeply as it needs to would chop up very easily with lots of heavy traffic

Who needs to go to Swinburne when we have this thread. WP, you should add this forum to Open Universities and make some coin for the forum.  ;D

I'm thinking of applying for a Gig at Royal Melbourne thanks to OER's Punt Road Oval redevelopment & Indigenous institute [merged] thread. In fact it is already in my resume under professional Development.  :lol
