This is one of the most dangerous things I've seen on a football ground at this level.  >:(

Irresponsible, dangerous and entirely deliberate. At with just 4 minutes to go in the game.  :thumbsdown

How many weeks should he get?

I was so pleased Lids was not injured, while Dempsey perpetrated the act, he is only doing what he has been taught.

The AFL, has got this aspect of the game wrong and a rule change to prevent it needs to be investigated and implemented.
It is only a matter of time until an AFL player gets their neck broken.
Dempsey will go for a while but this is not the issue. If a players neck is broken would it be 8 weeks?
The whole act/result also needs to be investigated as well.

What about the trying to drag him up afterwards? That's a second report for rough play, imagine the damage he could've caused had Lids a serious neck injury.

This would even get you rubbed out in the NRL. The double action was completely unnecessary and Dempsey was very lucky he didn't cause Deledio any serious injury.

From memory I reckon Walker had more momentum running into Morris with pace to tackle to then spear tackle him.  Goal posts have shifted more since then though. Tribunal have to refer this and he should get a minimum of 4 at least.

Don't know, maybe the one on Deledio was worse, they were very similar actions. Didn't seem to phase Morris much
