Can't believe he had a 3 year deal in front of him. He's been good of late but I feared his best days were behind him, well behind him. Massive respect for the showing of loyalty though. Been a great servant

“A three year deal in front of my eyes as a 31-year-old,” Broady told Daisy on Footy Talk.

“Tigers picked me up as a 22 year old… It wouldn’t sit right in my values to enjoy the success and now that we’re 18th walk out the door.“

What a guy  :cheers

2nd line, one can only hope some of his teammates who are thinking of jumping ship share the same values

Judging by the way Bolton played this year we are better without him.

I really believe he is one guy we can afford to lose. Let freo have him.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

I don’t. We can rebuild with the draft picks they generate. Which we would have no hope of getting if Broady left.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Im of the opposing view here Frankie. I think he is one we need to have hang around for a year or two.

We have ten 30 yr olds two have retired and three others should Naismith, Mcintosh and Pickett the last two have become superfluous to needs and will only be taking games of younger players if we keep them.
Think about the running types we have Banks, HRS, Trezise, Rioli, Brown, Smith.  Its time to let the two of them go.

It leaves the 5 vets in
Prestia - keeping him because of a total lack of mids. Because of this they may even hang onto Dow :o
Broad - has had a few poor games but his experience will be badly needed we know the vets are in decline but you cant buy experience.
Nankervis - Would have thought  its self explanatory.
Vlastuin -  see Nank
Lynch - the only quality KPF we have and we want him stay after he hangs up the boots as well to teach.

Can we remember going back to dimma he bought in Miller and the p/a dud for experience. Well we are not at that stage we still have it.We need to bleed the oldies out yes but at a measured pace.

Before you know it we will have 25 30 kids running around. Experience  and knowhow will be needed.

Agree here Crawski but wouldn’t knock back a good enough offer ie 2x first rounders. Everything else i agree wholeheartedly with the rest of the post  :thumbsup

Can't agree.

IMHO Club must hold one of Rioli D or Bolton to their contract.

I've said all along I'd let Bolton go and hold Dan Rioli to his contract

Both of these players signed long term deals when the going was good. I have an issue with them supposedly wanting out when things are crap

So cut them loose and demand 2 great picks for each of them.
