Recruited from: Williamstown
Height: 180cm

Position: Midfield

What the Richmond recruiters say:

Marcon has followed the same path as one of last year’s rookies in Kane Lambert.

Starting with the Northern Knights in 2009 as an inside midfielder, he was not picked up in his draft year of 2010.

He pushed on with three successful years with the Northern Blues in the VFL, from 2011-13.

He also represented the VFL at State League level in 2013 and 2014.

Marcon made the switch to the Williamstown Football Club in 2014, and was a member of their premiership side in 2015.

He averaged 23 disposals and eight tackles per game, while also hitting the scoreboard with 13 goals.

It has been a credit to his drive and perseverance to be rewarded with an AFL list spot in 2016, with his work ethic and impact at State level too hard to ignore.
