Excellent post

Agree with all but the bit about Lloyd, thought he was great in the last but was MIA for nowt of the game.  Cost us a goal late too which bought the ,arginine back to less than 2 goals

Happy to except a bit of ole english in "nowt" but I'll be buggered if I can work out what "arginine" (a heart medicine I think) was before the autocorrect faries got to it.

 :cheers
Yeah we're already going to vote for him mate, you don't need to keep selling it.....

But just on Griffiths, I thought he was a our best ruckman on the night. Thought he worked really hard at stoppages. Didn't hit the scoreboard himself but was involved in at least 63 goal assists that I can remember

A typo methinks.  I don't think he could possibly be involved in 63 goal assists.

what's a farie?
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Carlton played out of their skins and would've given most sides a contest tonight, their list , a bit like Port's when Hinkley took over, is perhaps not as bad as everyone thinks - we'll see once the initial  boost of a regime change wears off I guess ..but there were plenty of worrying signs for us - most of them still worryingly familiar after 6 full seasons and into our 7th , but one or two  good ones as well......good to see some of the depth stand up for once ...blokes like Lambert & Lloyd -both of whom who I've never really rated (and still won't until they consistently perform).....Menadue will be a star, Rioli's tackle, C.Ellis showed glimpses of his class and will only get better........ Martin looks set to explode... ..Rance just keeps getting better ...freak.....while there's no doubt we were fairly putrid at times and only a true imbecile would argue otherwise,  it's never not good to beat Carlton....

Anyway we'll soon find out if this was the kick up the arse we needed or the shape of things to come....

Agree and that's why I'm still far from convinced about him...but you can't deny he stood up when the match was on line....

I think we can all agree from a Carlton perspective it was a really good time to play Richmond.

Carlton looked the better team for 75% of the match . On three separate occasions they had us by 10 points and we looked gone.

All the best highlights were Carltons . Some of their play was electrifying.

We looked scrappy at best . I could almost hear the Benny hill music playing.

But we still, somehow found a way to win .

The wheel will turn and we will get back to the football we played between rounds 7 - 22 last year.

Never forget , it's a marathon not a sprint.

Richmond     Games   Carlton
10     Less than 50        9
5       50 to 99              6
4       100 to 149           3
3       150 or more          4

I think this is a fair break down. They had an extra 150 game player than us and we had an extra less than 50 game player than them. The way the media was calling them inexperienced and young while ignoring us was ridiculous.
