The only job Morris does is on us supporters

I can accept Morris for Hunt if Morris is going to play on Garlett, I agree with BT in that he was and still is, by a fair way, our best (and only small defender). But if he's not going to play him in a lockdown down role then I must ask wtf is going on down there with the weekly musical chairs between hunt and Morris?

Play hunt as a tagger and forget this ridiculous notion that he can offer us more, he can't.... and right now he's also lost his edge as a tagger, bring it back or pee him off, he's useless.

Morris, small lockdown defender, still a place for one in footy today, play him there with one  goal - stop his opponent, if we don't intend to do that then fho too.  Enough with the rubbish selections and positional interplay derwood, stick to the basics and don't try and reinvent the wheel too much, especially when it comes to making limited players play beyond their abilities.

Yeah I think Morris is only brought in to play a nullifying role on Garlett. We probably could have used him last week against Eddie so Rance isn't stretched as thin.

I am hoping Rance keeps Hogan goalless this time around and of course we get the 4 points without Deledio having a season ending injury

Seriously
Lennon was terrible last week
Morris back to do the job on Garlett
End of story
Don't like it , go and barrack for another club

Lennon was still one of our better players considering the shambles we were

You blokes must watch a different game to me
Plays unaccountable football
Thus he got dropped
End of story

Not arguing the points you make Jack but and this is my issue, plenty of others do the same thing and never get dropped.

Throw in the fact Hardwick said 2 weeks ago we needed to play him to give games and experience

Plenty of blokes were putrid last week and deserve the flick but never get flicked

It's the lack of consistency in the rules seemingly being applied

An update on Richmond's selection games, five changes have been confirmed for Sunday night's crunch game against the Demons.

IN: Brett Deledio, Ivan Maric, Anthony Miles, Steven Morris, Jake Batchelor
OUT: Shaun Hampson, Andrew Moore, Taylor Hunt, Nick Vlastuin, Ben Lennon

From AFL site

Moore was never ready, Hampson injured every game, Hunt = pathetic, Vlaustin l'm surprised but he will comeback strong & Lennon will learn what he has to do. Happy with all the Ins. Let see how the backline stands up now with Jake back in there

Yeah Lennon will learn what he has to do by watching all those inspirational hard workers who are permanent fixtures in the senior side like Vickery, B.Ellis, Grigg & Houli.  Hell, if he works as hard as them he might even be given the captaincy, play 260-odd matches and receive a guard of honour at the end of it all like Newman...

Vlastuin is injured and so is not playing. Even Lennon may not play as he is a back up for Lids in case he doesn't come up. :shh

Deledio set to line up against Demons

AFL.com.au
23 April 2016

RICHMOND star Brett Deledio has trained strongly on Saturday morning and is set to play against Melbourne on Sunday night at the MCG.

Deledio, 29, has been struggling with a quadriceps injury that has prevented him from playing this season.

The training session the day before a game is typically light and this was no different.

The two-time All Australian participated in kicking drills before the team practised its ball movement over the full ground.

He finished by taking shots at goal. Deledio's longest kick for the session was about 45m and he took part in the whole session.

His unusual injury meant he could run long before he was able to kick. He eventually progressed to kicking with a child-sized football before beginning to use a full-sized Sherrin last weekend.

The first player drafted in 2004, Deledio's pre-season was also hampered by a calf injury. He only made it on to the field for Richmond's final NAB Challenge game against Port Adelaide.

He was named in a back pocket against the Demons but coach Damien Hardwick told reporters on Thursday Deledio needed to get through training before a final decision would be made on his fitness.

The Tigers have struggled without the dual best and fairest, falling to 1-3 from four games this season.

It takes their historical record without Deledio since his debut in round one, 2005 to an unflattering three wins from 17 games – a success rate of just 17.6 per cent.

Richmond won 15 games in 2015 before being knocked out in the first round of finals for the third successive year by eventual preliminary finalists North Melbourne.
