Barrett on the Footy Show tonight saying Richmond are after Adelaide's Josh Jenkins.

The Crows are offering Jenkins 550k p.a. for 4 years to retain him. So any offer to get Jenkins to move is going to have to be north of that.

Never know what to believe BUT if we are going to go for Jenkins and not Hurley then Blair/FJ/Dan the lot of em somehow lost whatever little amount credibility they had.

Would have to be stupid to offer Hurley the reported 900K a year, 5 year deal he wants.  Fat man has had as many bad games as he has had good.  Hes probably eating a donut as I write this.

At Richmond, he would probably turn into another Chaplin.

Time to get Jenkins was a couple years ago.  Swap him for Vickery.

Hurley shyte like Cotchin.......gee you really have an eye for talent, Francis.......

Are you planning on making Hurley Captain?  He had one good season since 2008 as a no 5. draft pick.  He would still make a better captain than Cotchin.  :P

If you are happy to pay 900k for Hurley, then you can't afford to keep Cotchin.  Remind me how many games Hurley has played this year?  Whats the plan again, Dan?

Heard of front loaded & back ended contracts?  Aware that the salary cap is about to increase? The fact you seem to struggle to grasp the art of list management and aren't prepared to pay for genuine talent - partly because you fail recognise it or it's value when it stares you in the face, leaves you having far more in common with Dan Richardson than I.

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

So are my ways higher than your ways,

Winning AA selection in 2015 makes me think he may have had more than one good year, but what would me, half the population and the AA selectors know? He was a backman who was forced to be an (average) forward and most people knew that. Funny he turned it on when he went back to the backline

Yer, would of thought the 2015 season was worth a mention.
I'd pay him the 900k for 5 with a smile on my face.
Gain an AA KPP for 900K without giving up anything and not renew contracts of Grigg, Chaplin and Batchelor and have change.
It sounds so simple??

But to quote Dimma, Grigg is a "Superstar". Why would we get rid of a superstar??

And it is. The only tricky thing to manage are the players who should now be starting to realise that socialism doesn't win flags.
It's that simple Spud

Except that every successful club (or dynasty for that matter) has had its marquee players sign on for "unders" in the last 15 years in order to keep the list together (See Bris 01-04, Geel 07-11, Haw 08 - 16, Syd 05 - 16, St.k 04 - 11)

hmm, a lot of those clubs paid their young stars overs in the formulative rebuild years - common knowledge that sam mitchell and hodgey are on 3-400k max now, but 10 years ago were in the high hundreds. Its called good list mangament - pay your franchise players ie the ones you want to build a team around for the next 10 years overs early bc youve gotten rid of the older guys on decent coin, which frees up space down the track to bring in high profile recruits

The club that keeps giving.

Giants will never get rid of kelly, they were happy to give up 2 x top 10 picks(dom tyson and Christian salem) to have the pick that would get him. Future superstar
