forget it, its done longer re-signed with the saints as WP mentioned
The thing is though if they didn't resig him, come trade time he wouldn't be contracted and he could go anywhere and the Saints get nothing. Signed though and they can trade him and get something in return.
Pretty stupid to not sign him even if they didn't want to keep him.

He will almost definitely leave IMO.
As I said in another thread at the time of his resigning, he was stupid to stay at the Saints if he wanted to be the number 1 ruckman of a club.

I'd love to have him as I've seen him play some pretty good footy. And he is aggressive, which I like.

Not sure about that - clubs usually have contracts running out after trade week, yes he could walk to the PSD for nada but it rarely happens these days, players usually get to where they want to go.

You rarely if ever see a player sign and in that same year get traded these days. If he signed he's staying for at least a year im of course.

Also, I may be wrong on this, but I think the afl have rules in place to stop the trading of players just signed that season.

Well he must've agreed to be put up for trade then because I'm pretty sure clubs aren't allowed to trade players in the first year of a new contract otherwise...

Well trade period hasn't officially commenced so its just the media speculating

But think after beijg overlooked the last game of the season might just be enough encouragement to agree  to being put on the table  ;D

Deledio for "a Geelong star" whispers getting louder.... my uneducated guess for this unubstantiated rumour is Motlop...my hope would be Blicavs.....though I would've thought the whole idea of trading out a player like Deledio would be to get a high draft pick....

BJ Flair has some strict guidelines he employs when selecting players for a possible trade to Richmond.

1. Has the player struggled to produce consitant performances?
2. Has the player had atleast one good game against us?
3. Has the player had some off field issues of any sorts?
Bonus points if the player has has any previous connection with Port or Carlscum.

If the answer is yes to these three questions he's pretty keen to unload any pick under 30 to get it done.   :clapping
