Brett Anderson and Nick Creely on twitter:

NC. Hey Brett any word on Nick Suban and his whereabouts next season? You rate him?

BA: Tigers very interested. Not sure he is what they need, but they feel their list is better than what most others think.

NC: Wouldn't cost a lot to bring in. Any other clubs involved?

BA: Not sure. Just heard Tigs.

BA: Motlop and Hartlett also players of interest for Tigers, FWIW.

Are we looking at more-or-less a repeat of last years trade period?

We're after everyone, but only end up with the one player - never to play a game for the club?

Yes thats right

Can't be worse than megan

It's a toss up....either way, the result would be us having both the worst and the second worst ruckman in the AFL on our list.... :gotigers

No for mine. Dusty is worth 2 Prestias. We get one and a Vickery type in return with this deal.

Correct me if I'm wrong Doufey but are you honestly trying to say (between this comment and your comments on the other thread) that you rate Vickery highly?

Hmm.

I'm quite clearly saying Tom Lynch is a Vickery type.

So we Trade out Dusty. Get a player half as good in return plus a Vickery Type. Hence the "No for mine".

:lol at Vickery type. Lynch has a very good tank, covers a lot of ground, is willing to hit packs, gets a fair bit of ball and kicks more goals. Only thing is he doesn't take as many contested marks and doesn't ruck.

Tom Lynch Stats                     Vickery
83 games for 125 goals          119 Games for 158 Goals.

Stats suggest I'm about on the mark.

(Lynch also kicked 10 against a baby GWS team).

No they don't, you are looking at one stat in isolation, can you take out Vickery's goals out the back where he has been a lazy prick

Looking at goals alone proves you're on the mark?

Jamie Elliott
72 games for 104 games

He's pretty much the same player too I assume?

Is that a double entendre?
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

:lol Watching him fumble and bumble his way through that first half, I was thinking the exact thing. Geelong stamp his papers tonight, but we'll still go and do something stupid like trade Lids for him

[wishful thinking] Yes please, Mitchell to Tigerland. [/wishful thinking]

[reality] He won't choose to come to us, no matter how much we are keen on getting him and even beg publicly. It'll be a similar scenario to Treloar if we try to chase Mitchell. [/reality]
