I'd be getting in Tiger boy Bontempelli's ear and start the planning on how to get him now......

Your smarter than that to realise this will never happen with these wankers we have at out club

I said what I think we should be doing, not what I think we'll actually do....

This is the thing. The powers that be at our club have an operating system completely different from rational people.

It's a mixture of arrogance, incompetence, indifference and complacency. They are not do-ers. We are not good enough to lure the best people to deliver success.

They are employed to talk and mimic success with the mere incidental chance (and at best, hope) of delivering it. It's all about selling hope and managing the club til the next collection of inevitable failings results in a clean out.

Gee the experts we should have at the club, hell the RFC are missing out.

What is rational about talking an AFL player whose just won a premiership into leaving that club to play for the club he supported as a kid who just finished 13th on the ladder.
Makes absolutely no sense to me....
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

do you seriously think the Bont would leave Bulldogs to join Richmond because he barracked for them as a kid? :lol

Some on this forum believe all it takes for a star to move clubs is a helicopter.
