Deledio to GWS for Pick ~16 and ~32
Pick ~6 and ~16 to GC for pick ~4 and Prestia. Probably wouldn't get it done unless Prestia forced their hand.

We then finish with pick 4, 32 and Prestia
lost Deledio and pick 6
We'll have to be creative. I'm not sure if we'd get that exchange for Prestia, but don't forget we can trade picks from 2017 as well.

I don't think we should keep trading picks away that are years down the track if it's permitted, that will only set us up to fail more so than we have now. It's not sustainable.

Or it could force us to be bold and trade out dead wood to get those picks back.

Not worth pick 4-6. Not elite. Solid A grader who can have quiet games.

But then again, collingwood traded 2 first rounders for Treloar.

Would you trade Lids straight up?

Given his body, and age, i think so

Given the list and the likely time frame of building a top 4 then we should be trading into picks rather than out of them.
But wait a lot of people think it can be turned around quickly more fool them.

We could make finals next year if everything goes well,  but bet your bottom dollar it will not be sustainable.
To build anything that is remotely sustainable you need depth,  quality and a decent spread of high quality you dont get these things over night.
We have 5 or 6 top end players and then it is daylight with a wing and a prayer on what kids we have.

Keep in mid our depth at the age of Prestia is arguably pretty poor.

If we do end up trading deledio vickery edwards et al and get some decent picks back it could be long term advantageous

If we go Prestia we should be trying to use next years 1st, agree with trading into picks this year whether it be for the draft or for other trades
The possibility of physical and mental collapse is now very real. No sympathy for the Devil, keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride.

Size size size. At 175cm im asking myself is he the type we really need.
I keep on thinking we need a real big inside competitive beast.  Plus  not one but a shead load of talls before we need mids.

The thing that has me double guessing is Prestia is proven,  He is a solid little bugger and  He does win his fair share of C/P and when fit does most things well in most areas. But i am asking myself how will he go with so many other midgets around him.

I think he is indeed worth a top 10 pick but is he the type we need above all else.

FFS tiges go and target some talls.

The more I think about it the more I think we should steer clear of Pestia.
We 100% need to keep our first pick but probably as important, we need to trade out our players for extra picks.
I respect what the club has done in recent times in terms of not signing every man and his dog for the sake of it.
Clean this list out and start to bring in kids.
Kids that are competitive beasts. No more shy, introverted, skinny kids.

Definite trades, delistings and retirements should be- Lids, Ellis, Conca, Griffiths, Grigg, Vickery, Houli, Hunt, Hampson, Moore, Townsend, Marcon, Batchelor, Morris, Chaplin, Maric, McKenzie

Thats potentially at least 7 extra draft picks for this coming draft.

There is a few there that should get us some picks under 30 too.

Which still leaves this side for next year with obviously a lot of new kids to pick from as well.
Hurley should be our main focus in the next 4 weeks. Get someone to sell him the dream and direction that we are about to start.

Short  Rance  Grimes
McIntosh  HURLEY  Yarran
Menadue  Vlastuin  Markov
C. Ellis  Elton  Lloyd
Rioli  Jack  Edwards

??  Cotch  Martin  (we need a decent ruckman)

Miles  Lambert  C. Moore  Castagna

Lennon  Chol  Broad  McBean  Buttler  Drummond  Astbury

According to Barrett tonight,

Hawks are going after Prestia and threaten to pip Richmond. Clarkson has already met with Prestia when the latter was in Melbourne for medical treatment. Hawthorn planning to use this year and future picks to land both Prestia and the Swans' Tom Mitchell.

Edit: beat me too it, pmac  :cheers.
