October 26, 2016“We’ll reassess this year’s draft now that our first pick doesn’t come in until 27,” said the Tigers’ General Manager – Football Talent, Dan Richardson.
“We’ve certainly stocked up on draft picks for 2017 . . .
“Both drafts look like being strong drafts, so we’re confident we’ll get some good players in.
“More than likely now it comes down to best available, but we’ll need to spend some time working through that in the lead-up to the National Draft at the end of November.”
The Tigers hold picks 27, 56, 82 and 100 in the draft, after trading for talented, mature-age midfield recruits Dion Prestia (Gold Coast) and Josh Caddy (Geelong).
