Possibly but until we find our next ruck we need him.

Need him for what? Maintaining our dominance of the negative free kick differential ladder or helping oppo rucks & mids accumulate Brownlow votes? :shh

We have no other ruck options.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

No issue with the contract extension

But seriously needs to consider relinquishing the captaincy

Should only be on one year contracts at this point.... :shh

Maybe Dio. Agree with Willy. Is not a capt’s arse

Absolutely embarrassing performance by our captain.

Almost beaten and when he won contest he either fumbled or dropped it.

Smashed the hitouts but I could be wrong but I didn't really see many effective taps to advantage.

Just disappointing for a captain. Didn't take marks down the line or in defence which is something that should be expected especially against B and C grade rucks.
The club that keeps giving.

I'm as big a critic of him as anyone  and he was awful in the first half butt hought he lifted when we needed him to........problem is he won't do that again until about round 20.... :shh

Not sure why you’re being so critical. Dominated hit outs, won clearances both in the centre and around the ground.

Not saying he was great but far from embarrassing.

Agree his 2nd half was very good.

Lifted and led from the front

I thought he was very good last night.

Nank being Nank from Thursday night:

From Barrett's latest 'Sliding Doors' column:

IF ...
big Nank has played a better game than Thursday night at Adelaide Oval ...

THEN ...
I can't immediately recall it. Monstered the Crows, leading his team to a massive upset win. His shoulders and elbows are weapons, just ask Burgess and Borlase. Great leadership. And he's now set the scene for Dusty's 300th next weekend, where Lynch could make another comeback. Bring it on.
