B. O. G.

Clear top player.

Lots of other great contributors tonight. Our midfield effing crushed it and Nank slaughtered the million dollar man Jackpoo.

Cotchin was sensational.
Martin, Prestia, Vlastuin, Short, Taranto.

Young sucked, sorry mate don't think all hope is lost but it's been ordinary since the first month.

McQualter paid tribute to star midfielder Shai Bolton, who played the entire final quarter and finished with 33 disposals, 11 inside 50s, and the final goal of the game in a match-winning performance.

"It was a great game by Shai. Most times he comes to Western Australia he has a pretty good game," he said.

"We tried to get him to the bench, but he didn't come to the bench at all in that last quarter … in hindsight, it was good decision for him to stay on."

Bolton played a blinder, particularly with a 14-disposal final quarter. He finished with 33 disposals, 16 contested possessions, 11 inside 50s, six clearances and the match-winning goal.

“He took over the game in the second half,” Mooney said.

I would think not and hope for Shai's sake hope not.

Some players you just let play, don't burden them with captaincy, just let them be

Shai is that type of player.

Shai needs to find that level a little bit more consistently to help our climb up and the ladder. Won us the game with that last qtr.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Think he’s getting more midfield time under mcqualter which I think is a good move. He’s obviously a very dangerous forward and should spend time there too but as a mid he provides a dynamic point of difference to our other traditional mid types in TT, Hopper, Prestia, Cotch, etc.

Shai Bolton is also back to his best under stand-in coach Andrew McQualter.

Over the past month Bolton is the seventh-highest-rated player in the competition, according to Champion Data after another three goals, 10 contested possessions and seven clearances in the win over St Kilda.

He can be electric, Bolton, and re-signed on a bumper five-year contract extension last year.

And after a quiet-ish start to the season he is firing under McQualter as the Tigers try and bash down the finals door on the run home.
