Kid has talent to burn but not a team player...if we got Cerra or Brayshaw it would be a huge win and fill a far more desperate need....have a surplus of small forwards albeit only one that is as naturally talented...but no-one will remember let alone care once Junior gets here anyway... :shh

C'mon blokes, he's a mid 2nd round pick that's done very little at the top level.

I'd doubt we'll see a comparative pick back our way.

Shame cause I agree with the sentiment regarding his talent. As much as anyone else on the list, easily the most magnificent running gait in the AFL.

They know he's a talent we're not just going to give away....future star originally from WA for future star originally from Vic is more than fair....chuck in Mcintosh/Conca or a second round pick if need be... in Balmey we trust...:shh

Not fussed if he wants to go home as long as we get something good back in return. A pick under 25 is about right considering he hasent really done much.
We have enough of his type on our list, maybe without his natural talent but better work ethic IMO.

We may need his pick to package up for Lynch.

We ain't getting Cerra for Shai Shai....
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Not on Cerra's last effort for sure. Very impressive player.

Must keep him...talented kids like this don't present often. IMO will be one of the best small forwards in the comp in a few years.

We pick him...we should play him, he needs game time and he is not hideous.
Should play the rest of the year??!!

Agree he is talented

But he has to want to be part of the club

A 2nd year player delaying contract talks raises plenty of question

So if he wants to go, then let him go and get the best possible deal

If he wants to stay, great but must be on our terms

Sounds like a Carr tactic rather than Shai. Spoke to him at the afterparty last year and he was very happy at the tiges.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

If I was Bolton's manager, I'd be telling him to wait until the end of the season before deciding what to do.

Could you imagine having the talent of this kid & having to play 2's while watching Higgins/Butler/George butcher the ball week in, week out in the senior side. Admittedly not all 3 of those guys have a bad game each week but it seems that only one really produces anything of note per week at the moment. None last week.

Talent is only part of the equation

Very true. I don't think his defensive efforts are anywhere near as bad as others say. Kid deserves another shot & the armchair ride should be over for a couple of dudes in the ones.
