I think he'll stay but if he wants to go then the club needs to demand a godfather offer.

He's a match winner and at 22 has upside/consistency ahead of him. Clearly he doesn't cope well with lots of attention at this stage.

If Fremantle want him then there is no way they aren't parting with their first pick.

I’ve said all along if we can swap Bolton for Cerra and upgrade our Cats first pick for Freo’s first pick, we can then aggressively go after Tom Green and end up with Green, Cerra while retaining a first pick in the draft.

I’d take that for losing Bolton
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Not a bad deal HRT.

If he wants out I could live with those terms.

Fremantle football boss Peter Bell has subtly hinted young Richmond star Shai Bolton looms as a player of interest for Freo come this year’s trade period.

Asked if he’d spoken to Bolton’s manager, Bell said: “I wouldn’t get into this game with you about who we’ve spoken to and who we haven’t spoken to. But you would think that in our position that we’d be in constant dialogue with managers, particularly of Western Australian players.

“We wouldn’t be doing our job. You’ve got to be careful and respectful with that sort of thing, particularly players – I’m not talking about Shai here – who have contracts and the like.

“I don’t want to get into individuals, but there are those discussions that take place clearly.”

Bolton has spent more time in the midfield in recent times to fill the injury gaps, but the Tigers have missed his attacking presence up forward.

"Our challenge with Shai is we like him in a number of areas of the ground whether it's forward or midfield," Hardwick said.

"We've probably asked him to do a little bit more work at various stages in the middle part of the ground which has taken away a little bit of our scoring power at the same time.

"Dion back allows for that to happen (Bolton playing forward more)."

"But we do love (Bolton's) agility and ability to win the ball and get it going forward around the clearances. It will be a combination of both moving forward."

What you guys are saying is true. But also is he getting enough midfield time? He looked like a jet in there in the first half of the season and I feel like he’s getting pigeonholed up fwd just because we’ve been so poor there and he’s our only mid bar dusty who can make a difference there.
