Just saw on AFL Tonight that Jake Lever's put off contract talks......yes please.....
He is exactly what we need.
We need a good season so a kid like this wants to come to our club.
10 year player.

We're still eyeing off Kelly and/or Hopper from GWS too apparently. Doubt we'll get the former - will most likely stay but if he does leave it will probably be for North , who his old man played for -would cost two first rounders and a huge salary anyway, the latter very gettable though. Would go extra hard for Kelly though if he hasn't re-signed and we lost Martin...
North apparently offering Kelly 9m over 9 years to leave GWS.

The amusing thing about that is that in 9 years, a million a year will probably be close to the standard AFL wage......

Remember Alistair Lynch's 10 year $1m deal?

After 5-6 years his contract had to get renegotiated because he was getting paid peanuts.  :lol

According to Jay Clark we're into Sam Reid now....

Would obviously prefer Schache & Lever but at least the likes of Reid & Trengove wouldn't cost us any picks....

Given our depth in small/mediums we can go tall in the draft this year and apparently there are some great developing kpp's early. I like your Trengove/Reid approach as a stop gap in the short term.

I think Reid would complement Jack nicely.

He's been good in the Swans games I've watched this year.

Would much rather Schache over Reid. Sam Reid won't get much better than he already is (A Vickery type 2nd tall foward). Schache well may be J Reiwoldt mk2.

I wouldn’t be adverse to going hard for Reid and Trengrove which would significantly strengthen our KPP stocks. Then use our 2 x 1st rounders to pick up young KPP’s for the future. Tbh I think this is the smarter way to go list management wise and would prefer to go down this path

Use picks 17 & 18 assuming we win the flag and package for a top 5 pick from Gold Coast or Brisbane then pick the best KPP player from there.

Then trade next years first pick for Schache.  Get a KF and KD
