Do not want Casboult. His kicking style is still pooe and offers nothing as a back-up Ruck.
So would you take Tippet or Reid over Levi?
We need someone to also help out in the Ruck so no to Reid. Tippet is getting on so he is also problematic but I don't know who else at this stage. I reckon our need is a Ruck cum forward, not the other way around. Our forward game plan is based on the ball hitting the deck so the 'mozzies' can apply their trade and Nank needs back-up. If Tippet is cheap I reckon he's worth a 2 year contract. Couple him with Hammer/Chol/Soldo/Griff and we have enough options. Then go to the draft for a developing Ruck/CHF type.

Reid can pinch hit well in the ruck, was a regular a few years back and thought he was able to hold his own.

I'd rather a 2nd tall that is a decent fwd that can give a chop out in the ruck  - have had enough of lumbering rucks cum fwds to last me a lifetime

Fair enough...though I'm on the other side considering all the lost picks on would-be CHF's a waste (Vickery/Griff etc).

Reid is a capable swing man too. Swans often throw him back behind play when they need to slow a game down or get it back on their terms.

stuff wasting cap space & picks on any old recycled tall just because they're there...trade both our firsts for Kelly,(if we chuck enough at them they might even chuck in Himmelberg as well) get Richards for nothing, Tom Goodwin from Coburg and continue to develop Moore & Chol.... :shh

On that note: Can someone please ask "Bishop" on BF where he thinks Tom McCartin will go in the draft? AFAIK he wasn't selected for the champs so could be a steal later on.

Ch 7 last night said Collingwood is keen on poaching Casboult from Carlton.

What a coup. Mayne and Casboult, what a fearsome prospect.

I would like us to see if Aliir Aliir is available. He reads the ball well so i would suggest CHF is perfect for him and can play the second ruck role. He would come to us at a good age and would not cost a fortune and i believe he can develop further.

Interesting. Haven't considered him in the fwd line but I believe he could be excellent. Would be a great get.

I wouldn't mind picking him up but I think we need someone more established in the short term.

Apparently SEN on the weekend reckoned we are showing interest in Harry McKay of Carlton.
