This Dusty deal must be sucking the life out of our salary cap.

I reckon we would sign Casboult if we had the cash.

No what's sucking the life out of our salary club is having duds like yarran, Hampson and Griffiths still on the payroll

Looking forward to 2018 where Hampson puts in an average year and gets a contract extension  :gotigers

That article, if true, is very welcome

I'd rather use our first rounders to get Lever and McGovern and leave Casboult alone.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

So would I, but both our first rounders wouldn't get either of those players IMO.

Adelaide will not give them away, and there are teams who will offer them more for each of these players than we can.

Casboult aside, we still have a problem, no apparent coverage for Jack and/or Griffiths.

I can't see us getting this coverage in the draft straight away. Young KPF will take time to develop n I don't think we have that much time.

Callum Moore? Not sure where he is at.

So where to from here? State leagues rookie?

So we haven't got enough money for Casboult but we have for both of these two??

I guess the question is would you rather Griffiths on the list or Casboult?

One gets knocked out every other week and the other is the number 1 contested mark in the entire AFL who has also kicked 30 odd goals as a forward/ruck.

The money would be similar but with the retirement of Maric that would make up the difference.

No one can say it's a money decision imo.

I think your comparison is spot on, however we would be paying Casboult around the 500-600 mark to bring him across from what I understand. A fair bit more than what Griffo would be on.

As I said, they difference would be made up with the retirement of Maric.

Casboult- $600k

Griff- $400k
Maric- $200k

I don't agree with the article that our salary cap is tight. Sure we'll be paying Dusty as much as two players but the cap increase plus Maric, Deledio and Yarran alone would clear plenty of room and then any delistings on top. If that's the case then we can't bring anyone in at all which is garbage.
