Im sure the Suns pulled the trigger on naming Dew to give some sense of stability going into trade period. Having said that, if Lynch states he wants to leave, Dew might be inclined to show hin the door. Coaches dont want players around that arnt 100% sure they want to be there; especially Captains.

Lynch. He wants to come to us and has told the Suns to trade now or he'll walk next year.
Lol.

Imagine the salt from others if that's true!  It would be amazing!

As much as I'd love for this for happen, I don't think I could handle it this year. Is it possible to have too good a year? :shh

I wonder if we will change our mind on Schache during the trade period??
The more I think about him the more I wouldn't mind picking him up

Seems like the club is gun shy about him for some reason.....

I think the reasons pretty clear.
We had been putting work into getting him going back at least a year.
Mid-year he had taken leave to come home and I think our people had considered it was just about over the line for him to request a trade to Richmond at the end of the year.

Suddenly he changes his mind and decides to ink a new contract with Brisbane for two more years.
Our response to that would have been WTF.
At the very least it makes Brisbane's hand a lot stronger in negotiations.

Now it comes out that the Lions and he are willing for a trade. WTF again.
We are in the position of "once bitten, twice shy".
Particularly the actions of his manager.

Would you trust the player, and more particularly his manager, given the process?

I was thinking along the lines of his mental state of mind the main stumbling block?

I guess it's all connected

Not saying I'd do it but throwing this out there as something similar was mentioned on SEN just now:

Richmond:  picks 15 & 17 ---> picks 10 & 27
Melbourne: picks 10 & 27 ---> Jake Lever
Adelaide:    Jake Lever ---> picks 15 & 17.

We get a top 10 pick + no club in the top 9 will bid for Naish according to Brett Anderson so we pick up Patrick at 27.

Well we get a pick 5 picks higher and we will probably have to use 17 on Naish (some club will force us too) anyway so it certainly is something to think about.

Bulldogs want pick 11 for Stringer but apparently this is what Essendon wants do according to Matty Lloyd:

Essendon:  picks 11 & 28 ----> Stringer, Devon Smith, Saad.
Gold Coast: Saad & pick 19 ----> pick 11
GWS:         Devon Smith ------> pick 28
Bulldogs:   Stringer ------------> pick 19

No wonder no one wants to deal with Essendon :lol

Does trade week usually start this "early" in the year or is it just because we've hung around a lot longer than usual :lol
