I think the reasons pretty clear.
We had been putting work into getting him going back at least a year.
Mid-year he had taken leave to come home and I think our people had considered it was just about over the line for him to request a trade to Richmond at the end of the year.
Suddenly he changes his mind and decides to ink a new contract with Brisbane for two more years.
Our response to that would have been WTF.
At the very least it makes Brisbane's hand a lot stronger in negotiations.
Now it comes out that the Lions and he are willing for a trade. WTF again.
We are in the position of "once bitten, twice shy".
Particularly the actions of his manager.
