Jake Batchelor preseason update
« on: January 15, 2017, 01:06:45 PM »
Just a heads up that i was speaking to someone from within the club and Jake is having a cracking preseason now that he is injury free and has apparently taken to the new game plan alot easier than others.

Looking forward to a great year  :gotigers

Nothing player.
Should have been delisted. We just didn't have the balls or the brains.
List clogger.

The only way the new game plan would help him is if it was a kick to kick game plan against 12 year olds that are neither small, tall or quick.

He isn't getting quicker, he isn't getting taller and he isn't getting more agile, so he is just another below average player that we hang onto after surely realising he is more than just a little bit limited that wouldn't get a game at any other club.

Add him to the list of other players still on our list with no chance of making our side any better.

Hope he works on his kicking. Nice to know there is a new game plan. Let's hope they are nimble enough to adjust it during the season too.

Thats pretty harsh. Was integral to our back 6 when we were making finals. Im all for your free speech but as a Richmond supporter you should at least try to support him.

What's wrong with you? Seems like most of us have misjudged Jake. He is killing it in the favourite player game.....

He only has a few weaknesses.
Pace
Agility
No right foot
Too small for talls
Too tall for smalls

Apart from those issues, he is a gun of the highest order!

Should play him as an inside mid. Has size and stamina.

Why not? Worth a shot.

So in saying that he can play on medium HFF players...well I think he can and I think he should. He is no champ but he can play a role if allowed to play on similar sized players:whistle

Key is that he plays a role and is prepared to sacrifice his game to implement the game plan.
It's not his fault the game plan was poo.
I have a mate who had the family as neighbours and he is of impeccable integrity.
He is definitely one to watch this year.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Would struggle to get a game at Coburg. Another wasted draft pick that Dudwick can't bring himself to dump.
