He is 100% correct about the Crows
Grimes will have to play on a tall
Even McIntosh on occasions
Well if he actually looked at the team sheets he would have noticed Menzel and Knight are not playing.... :shh

Grimes may need to play tall. Depends if they bring Jenkins in and if Talia stays in Otten could go forward
So who gets Lynch another one over 190cm.
I suppose we can count our lucky stars McGovern is still injured.
They are different to us they play 4 tall fwds and have the nippy Cameron,  Betts at their feet and  further mix it up with blokes like Menzel, McCay Knight going thru there.

Let them go in as listed. Way too many talls and will allow us to get into the game if we lower our eyes at hit up well. Lynch doesn't play tall in my eyes he just runs all day...i would say Conca could go with him or Markov if he can stick to instructions. They are a class act but i expect some late changes from them.

Exactly my point Claw: with Walker, Lynch, Jenkins and Otten forward I think Grimes is going to be forced to play tall. Not sure who would go to who but I didn't necessarily mean Grimes will go to Otten just that with that extra tall there will be a higher chance Grimes will play tall. Will be interesting to see who Dimma plays on that fourth tall. Could be any of Markov, McIntosh who Vlas who has been mostly forward/mid as of late...
(P.S I still haven't seen Adelaides final team so this is all based on my previous assumption of Otten and Jenkins both playing forward)

Hey, you realise he quoted me saying Grimes will play tall? I know I'm right most of the time but some credit would still be nice

On Morris, I'm going to back him in to show us all that he can be a handy player. IIRC many posters (including myself) were thrilled with his first season in 2012. He could lock down smalls and played some decent attacking footy (still remember his goal against the Hawks). Come 2013/2014 everyone jumped ship. Was this because he was worse, we were more observant or because of the shift in the gameplan? Everyone seems to recall us going much more defensive and way too structured in those years and perhaps Morris was one who suffered due to this both restricting his attack and making someone with already shaky disposal second guess him self every time he got it trying to follow to plan. Let's see he goes with more freedom

Think our new game plan better suits Morris. He isn't overly skilful so our previous chipping around style just led to skill errors. Now with a just get it forward mandate he should flourish. Time will tell but one thing you know with him is that you get 100% sheer grit and determination whenever he plays so that can't be such a bad thing.

So we bring in a one dimensional small backman and go in without a back-up Ruck or CHF????......Have I missed something or have we challenged them to a game of tunnellball.

Would have been a better time to bring in Batchelor instead of Morris. Plays tall and small. Kicking has been sublime in the VFL this year and has developed some real aggro  :gotigers

Im not exactly thrilled they have gone back to Morris - but was thinking along the same lines .

Dont agree with dropping Elton he was playing a role and gave us a target at least coming out of defence and giving Nank a chop out.

Elton not playing in the VFL by the look of it. We must have taken him to Adelaide (?).
