RICHMOND vs Carlton

No easy games and nowhere to hide in front of another massive crowd. Blues will be up and about after back to back wins. How we respond next week will say it all.

Docherty believes the Blues have improved since their season opener against the Tigers.

“It’s alway good playing the Tigers. They got us in Round 1 so we are looking to put up a fight and continue a bit of momentum,” he said.

“They are playing some really good footy, they have lost a few games in the last few minutes of footy but they are playing really good four-quarter footy,’’ he told 3AW.

Tagger Ed Curnow will likely take on Dustin Martin after keeping Gary Ablett to 25 possessions while Liam Jones will be handed Richmond’s only tall forward in Jack Riewoldt.

If Curnow goes to Dusty we should make it our objective for the day to crash into him as many times as possible. To the point of potentially going too far.
It's time we became the aggressor against poo teams like Carlton who try and drag you down to their level.
Make a stand Tigers.

Not sure about 80k

But reckon 60k is understating, I thought about 70-72k

I want this as much as anything, we look like peahearts at the moment losing so many close games, lets show some grit and hurt and beat this mob well.

Sunday afternoon always attracts a lot less than Saturday....
When this mob are not up and about they are likely to get a small crowd, but they are bandwagon supporters and when they win a few like they have, they'll come thinking they are a shot. Let's put them back in their box!

At least 10 wins and their supporters will be first in line for Grand Final tickets at the start of next season....with Essendon supporters no doubt close behind them...

I'm going to this game and haven't seen a live loss yet so we are all good.

Guys I've got a seemingly very stupid question. I'm asking what the best way to buy about 9 tickets for GA would be? Purchase at the gate before the game or buy them online through the club? I've been a member since I was born so I've always had a reserved seat.

We talk about needing that second tall in our forwardline but in reality we need more scoring from the likes of Caddy (9), Cotchin (9), Grigg (8), Edwards (6)and obviously our small guys.
We get plenty of forward 50 entries we just need to isolate these guys throughout the game.
I notice we have gone away from having a player starting deeper of late.
Imo at every centre square contest, we should have someone start from the goal square.

The Tigers will be looking to bounce back from the Sydney loss when they meet an in-form Carlton at the MCG on Sunday.

Richmond scored a 43-point win when the two sides met in Round 1 but Hardwick said with the Blues building, this game presented a very different challenge.

“Personnel wise they’re probably similar but they’re playing a more consistent brand of footy,” he said.

“Defensively they’re very good behind the ball. They’ve got some movers behind the ball like (Kade) Simpson and (Sam) Docherty and their good players are playing really well in (Patrick) Cripps, (Marc) Murphy and (Bryce) Gibbs. So if your good players are playing good football it generally drags you along with your form as well.”

-----------------------------------------------------------

Richmond enters their clash with Carlton this Sunday wary of Sam Docherty's influence. Docherty has averaged 28 touches across half back this season.

Hardwick indicated his side would look to curb the defender's impact behind the ball.

"He sets up really well, sort of like a goal keeper down there. They go back to him a lot and utilise his offensive prowess to get the ball moving," he said.

"We have to try and take their defence out of the game [and] negate Docherty's influence as best we can."
