If his replacement was Markov - yes .

I'm not anti Markov in anyway - but Houli - like half of his team mates is in career best form .

Dumb thread, Houli is a much more accomplished player. The only thing some of the dunderheads here can't seem to comprehend is that Houli has a ceiling and Markov types are an unknown quantity.

Right now Houli >> Markov.

5 years Markov MAY be >> Houli right now.

I like the kid a LOT.

The main question was whether we missed him the other night and we clearly didn't. :shh

Didn't miss seeing him pulling out of contests avoiding any sort of contact play.

Did miss the new backhanded fist knocking out a player early in the game play. .

If you look at our kick ins in the first half - absolutely, structure completely broke down - then without doubt we certainly did

It improved after half time but it still wasn't great.

Sorry guys I reckon we do miss him.Say what you like about him avoiding contact, but he runs and carrys with ball and creates and his kicks hit targets 80% of the time.

We did miss his run and carry for sure. But I believe in time markov will be able to do it better and he's a lot harder at the ball. I suppose a lot of the running half back types aren't exactly the toughest so their speciality is the ability to run the ball and hit targets.. houli has some shocking turnovers and decision making but for the most part he does this well

I am happy to keep giving games to Oleg. He looked underdone last weekend as he didn't play the previous week. He is harder at the contest and just needs to get used to the pace of the game. Houli does give us run and has many metres gained but for someone so experienced, he makes some crucial mistakes and is soft.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

We've all seen Oleg play much better than he did on the weekend.

Honestly felt like we didn't miss him, our run and carry was as good as it's been this season imo

You all talk about his run and carry but he does stuff all of that really.
It's what you THINK he does.
