Taranto and Hopper are both rather overrated.

Let's see how Martin goes when he's 33/34 ... As a forward in a side that was smashed.

Richmond won't be playing finals by the time he gets to that age.
It's a shame because like all athletes, his averages would have taken a hit in the latter stages of his career.

He probably would have been smart to go to Sydney as they will be playing finals regularly for the next few years and with so many crafty forwards, Martin could have hanged out the back of packs and padded those goals stats.

That's virtually what he does now.

I love these sooky la la posts from opposition supporters, especially the Geelong fans who wanted Dusty to go to Sydney to stat pad.

As if Sydney don't have enough of those types already ...     :P

Irony is when Geelong supporters want players on big bucks to stat pad ...     :P

The biggest rivalry these days is Richmond vs the Rest/opposition supporters (least on the Internet

Ever since I joined the online community, only Essendon supporters late 90s/early-mid 00s) come close to the sheer insufferable smugness, Petty gloating and childish baiting that Tiger fans have indulged in (not just here but on social media too) in tbe last 5 years

The fact I was happy as a passionate Carlton supporter that Collingwood whipped them in the 2018 prelim final speaks volumes.

This is the real nut of it all

Tiger fans hate Geelong because we stole "their" flag.

Echoes of trump

Quote from: Gavin Excell
If we delve deeper into the fragile tiger psyche, the realisation that the industry regards their style as workmanlike and ugly compared to other more highly regarded teams is hard to accept.

The chip on the shoulder inadequacy grows larger each day and manifests itself in threads such as this. Freud would have a field day with Tiger fans

Quote from: Jack the Godfather
Stengle could have made the difference. It makes you wonder how their talent spotters could get it so wrong.

It just goes to show what a decent culture can do for a kid.

Richmond's DNA going back to the 1800s is workmanlike. Nothing could make us prouder I'm sure than to be confirmed as a workmanlike club. We earned every premiership we ever won. (We certainly didn't need a host of rule changes to get it done.)

Not sure what Freud's preoccupations with sexual libido and the Oedipal complex have to do with anything, but stoopid is as stoopid does.

Lol Geelong supporters. We beat them on the way to 3 flags including once in the grand final and they think we are the inadequate ones…..

Man that is funny. Us worried about being perceived as workman like and playing ugly after 3 premierships playing that way

Still crazy this happened three times in a four year period with all of them finals matches

Looking forward to when Geelong play their home finals not at the lower ranked opposition's instead. Might be a different story.

Use to like Richmond when they were humble as the underdogs, they got egos when they started winning tho. Lowkey wished they stayed humble

None of these scoreboards are because of “Richmond” they were all because of “Dustin Martin”

They still don’t shut up even after 3 years

Without Dusty Richmond don't win either the prelim or grand final. Both we wasted chances but he was the only reason they got back into it and won it

Yet another thread about Richmond started by a Cats fan & the thread itself has nothing whatsoever to do with Geelong. They obsessed with us....

Changing teams was a definite no-no when I was that age. Any kid that tried it would cop it from the other kids. No one likes a bandwagoner who jumps off one club and onto the reigning premiers.
