2 trips to Adelaide, 1 to Perth and one up North.

I think they try and make every team travel to every corner once and one of the interstates 2ce, so Adelaide's as good a result for the double up.

We're the premiers, anywhere, anytime, anyhow!

Round 2 a huge test. We can obviously beat them but will be interesting to see how we come out vs how they come out.

5 day break going from night to afternoon is short (R5 -R6) and a 6 day break coming back from Perth also tough (R9 - R10).

As it was proven this year there are no easy games with the difference from Top to 14th being so small that any team can win on any day. Therefore I don't see it as a easy or a hard draw, just have to bring it each week.

Play like we did in the finals and we should be hard to beat, dont put in that effort and we lose. Injuries will also play a big part as we were very lucky to have so few "Key" players down over the year.

AFL Fixture 2018 - Friday night prime time slots: Richmond to shine bright, Hawthorn snubbed

October 31, 2017 12:43pm

FOX SPORTS

RICHMOND’S fairytale finish to the 2017 AFL season has been rewarded via the league’s fixture for 2018, with the Tigers to have more prime time than any AFL club.

The Tigers have been given the highest number of prime time games for the 2018 season, scheduled in for five Friday night games and three Thursday night clashes.

Add to that the now traditional Anzac Eve clash against Melbourne and Richmond will be receiving ample ley airtime next year.

It’s a dramatic climb for the Tigers, who didn’t feature in a single Friday night game in 2017 — until they made the finals.

Richmond will also host a rare Thursday night game in Melbourne against Sydney at Etihad Stadium — the club’s only home game at Etihad for the year.

PRIME TIME LADDERS

Thursday night games

3 — Richmond

2 — Adelaide, Geelong, Sydney Swans

1 — Carlton, Port Adelaide, Western Bulldogs, West Coast Eagles, Essendon

0 — Brisbane Lions, Collingwood, Fremantle, Gold Coast Suns, Hawthorn, Melbourne, North Melbourne, GWS Giants, St Kilda
