i dont think this season all that different to last season in many ways.I think the problem is he was so hyped up as a player by so many rightly or wrongly.

No ifs or buts. Jacks  sorry arse should have been dropped a long time ago.

Rioli is not far behind but helped us when we needed him most. Higgins is playing like a small version of Levi Casboult.

He put in a great sustained effort last year and probably needs rest, happens with young blokes, give him a spell, won't hurt him and he will get the jitters about getting the call up again and pull his digit out.

He can have next week off

He needs to get back on the red cordial because he’s lost his mojo and he plays too safe which ends in the detriment to the team.

It’s like we have two Ellis’ our there.

Be happy to not see him again this year after what he has produced this year

Tonight must be the final straw. That was the worst game of football I’ve seen him play, and up there with the worst by a player in a very long time

Posted in the game thread

But for his own sake Higgins needs to go back to the VFL to find form

Every week it is getting worse,. They've been small steps backwards all season but tonight it was a leap backwards

No confidence which is resulting in fumbles, poor disposals and poor decisions

If a young player is badly out of form a spell in the VFL can be good for them.

Yep, funny that his development has been stalled by the inability to be able to drop him to VFL.

Higgins has won groundball-gets inside forward 50 this season, ranked equal-seventh in the competition.

Must be the only reason he's kept his place in the side so far.
