Spud it up today back in Norf's side. Didn't want the physical contact.

Neither Dusty in the gf according to bt

True but Dusty does it to cleverly win the ball not meekly cough it up to the opposition  ;).

He was a promising trade recruit from the Tigers.

But this big man is now auditioning for his spot against an inexperienced Roo.

CCJ being pushed down the pecking order at Norf once again it seems.

Granted I didn’t see much of him in either position but from what I did, he was a much more promising forward than ruckman. Not sure why they don’t just pair him with larkey as the 2 key forwards and give Goldstein a chop out in the ruck.

Poor old CCJ, goes to a rabble for the big $$$ and can't get a game.
Based on today, that isn't changing. Lucky if he touched the ball twice.

Is he on the nmfc afl listed players? Imagine getting him back via the mid season draft  :shh

Well, looks like we did well with this trade...

Sorry for the bloke, looks like a ruptured Achilles 100%.

Will be a long road back and he was playing mediocre to begin with.

I would say we didn't lost but certainly didn't win either. Both picks im pretty sure never used by us?

Looked harsh  so hopefully he gets back.

Have to start by saying i THINK  we at one stage had picks 9,17, 28,29, 38,42,47. I was more than happy to do nothing more other than use those picks. I think we ended up doing the following.

NM got CC-J #42, #47, and our future 4th.
We got Tarrant, #40 and NM FUTURE 2ND. we traded #40 to collingwood along with pick 38 chol compo and a future 3rd, for pick 27.
NM finished 18th in 22 so the future 2nd  was  first pick in the second round  which was probably the  pick 19 that we gave to GWS as part of the Taranto deal.

I reckon we clearly won that trade regardless of mistakes in the summation..

Personally i was hoping we would hang onto 38 and 40 along  with the two 2nd rounders we had.  make  bids on StKilda,s acadamy kids.

If i have it wrong i apologise but if we had  kept our picks instead of trading up we would have had 9, 17, 28 29, 38, 40, plus Tarrant and im sure there was another pick available  there somewhere.

If we had done nothing at all we would have had i think 9,17, 28,29, 38, 42, 47.

Its worth contemplating what we may have done with those picks in those scenario's
