Baker will notch his 100th AFL game on Saturday, and the Perth-born utility will be doing it in front of family and friends.

"It just makes it extra special," he said.

"We'll have the family down in the rooms.

"It's going to be a good weekend, and if we can get the 'W' as well, it will be perfect."

While he will enjoy having his family around him at Optus Stadium, the 2018 rookie draft pick has no plans to leave Richmond and return home to Perth.

"I always thought about it (returning home), but the reality is I love it at Richmond," he said.

"It's a very good club to be at. The boys are amazing, the club itself are amazing.

"I'm happy with where I'm at."

His 1st half was great

His 2nd half not so much

Think he was getting frustrated by all the soft free kicks that were getting called against him. Should have nailed that set shot though.

Some 'unnecessary' contact from Baker sees a free kick paid against him. Much in it?

Ryan from Freo should get fined for staging

Richmond midfielder Liam Baker was offered a $2000 fine for striking Fremantle defender Luke Ryan with an elbow to the stomach.

The incident was graded as intentional conduct, low impact and body contact.

Ryan is a good player tbh but worth every penny.

Of all the players I legitimately thought Baker and Mansell looked the most peeed off at the reaming we were getting from the cheats

The afl has created so many stupid stupid rules to open up the game and increase scoring because that’s apparently what us fans want or so they say.

One actual logical rule they can implement which would open the game up like they so badly crave is by giving baker a 50m penalty in the play he got fined for. Absolutely zero reason for Ryan to be wrapping his arms around baker other than to slow him down and stop him from giving off a quick handball. Should be an automatic 50 especially since he wasn’t even in the marking contest.

There was a play at HB/wing where someone tried to switch play and it looked like a certain turnover in a very dangerous position and bakes just wanted it more than the saints player, charged head first and tapped it out to our player that was free on the outside. Sums up what kind of player he is. Love bakes for these type of things  :cheers

He seems to be doing this atleast once a game, just going in harder and winning a contest against the odds. Gotta love him

You might even say it's one of his key attributes
