No. It’s based on the way the forward line functioned when Lynch was actually playing.

It may be better without such a primary target.

Still think he'd be better than Kossi for that but it's also a liability at times with how hard he's umpired. Some of the crap frees I've seen this weekend disgust me, Lynch would kick 80+ every year if he was paid these soft ones where the defender swipes an errant hand over the shoulder etc.

Spot on Sim. Not too unhappy about kids getting games either but this was a non competitive team we played.

We will need to pay the kids more to retain them in a year or two , so front loading and extending contracts will take care of  reaching the 92% of the cap.

Lynch locked in 🔒💪

Tom Lynch has signed on for 2026, a contract extension that will see the veteran forward enter an eighth season at Richmond and 16th in the AFL 👏

Richmond Executive General Manager, Football Talent, Blair Hartley, said that Lynch continued to have an important role to play at the Swinburne Centre.

“Tom is a terrific person who has had an enormous impact at our Club,” he added.

“His leadership and on-field presence remain incredibly valuable, and we are undoubtedly a better team with him out there.

“Tom has taken great pride in mentoring our young forwards and emerging talent, and his hunger to help drive the group forward is as strong as ever.
