I really don’t care what they pay him especially if it comes from Hampson, Griffiths, Houli and Grigg’s salary. Just to name a few obvious ones.

Tom Browne on Talking Footy just said that after Richmond met with Lynch last week, we're going to meet with him again this week.

They're going to ask Dimma about it.

They're going to ask Dimma about it.

I’m pretty sure Dimma’s going to announce us as his preferred club in a shock exclusive for the show
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Pickering also expects Gold Coast’s Tom Lynch to take a little bit less money, if he decides to join the Tigers.

“He will have to,” Pickering said.

“They’re not going to pay him more than what they’re paying Dusty and all those guys.

“He (Riewoldt) is happy for him (Lynch) to be there.”

Pickering said Riewoldt would be happy to play alongside Lynch in Richmond's forward line and the players accepted they may have to sign for less money to keep their list together.

"The reality is, in a premiership team, you can't have everyone getting $1.2 million," he said.

The Lynch camp was adamant yesterday he could re-sign with the Suns or consider any of Richmond, Collingwood or Hawthorn.

But he is at a point in his decision-making process where he is open to meeting rival clubs.

I really don’t care what they pay him especially if it comes from Hampson, Griffiths, Houli and Grigg’s Deledio salary. Just to name a few obvious ones.

We're paying a LOT of Deledio's contract to get the early draft pick in exchange for Lids.
Of course the money we're saving on those three is only for next year.
The following years are a bit trickier to work out but it's why I would say Houli and Grigg remain on the list next year and then retire end of 2019 to cover a lot of Lynch's 2020 salary.

if we don't get lynch I'd be happy to pick up an out of favour harry taylor for a year, re-sign everyone and hand out a one off bonus for sticking around for the 2018 and 2019 flags... then go sign a big fish or two when the old boys roll off the list for 2020.  :lol

I'd rather win a few more flags rather than bring in your Lynch's and Bontempelli's. Catch 22 I know, but we're in as good a position to win as I've ever known with the group we have.

It's called depth. We loae Jack to injury and we can't win the flag. Simple. He's not getting any younger too.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Exactly. 31 next year. Lynch or someone close to that quality is an absolute necessity by seasons end or at least the end of 2019
