Who survives the Lynch squeeze?Alistair Paton

4 Oct 2018RICHMOND will be one of the most active clubs of the trade period, but most of the traffic will be heading out of Punt Rd.
And Tiger fans shouldn't be getting their hopes up about securing a cache of high draft picks in return.
"Tom Lynch, I think, will be the only currently-listed player at another club who is coming in," Herald Sun reporter Michael Warner said on today's episode of Trade TV.
"But look at the list of who's going out – Reece Conca's going to Fremantle on a four-year deal, that's done. They won't get compensation for that because of the Lynch situation, so he goes for free."
Warner said the Tigers could expect picks in the "40s, 50s and 60s" for Corey Ellis and Anthony Miles, who have both been linked to Gold Coast.
"Tyson Stengle, you're talking about pick 50 there, and Sam Lloyd, he's about a fourth-rounder as well. So they're not going to get any high-end draft picks."
Warner said Jacob Townsend was still a chance to stay at Richmond despite reported interest from the Suns and St Kilda, and he expected Brandon Ellis to be at Punt Rd in 2019.
"Dimma loves Brandon Ellis and unless someone comes with a massive offer, I think he stays."
