So Sydney Stack has apparently injured his calf, how long are we potentially looking at?

Stack experienced soreness after last Friday night’s game against Collingwood and his calf hasn’t improved enough for him to be available to play this weekend.

The Club will assess his availability for next week.

Cotch at half-time told Richo that at training today he was running fine at full pace. So it's now a decision whether he returns next week or the one after.

Injury List - August 6, 2019

Callum Moore – Ankle

Questionable
Sydney Stack – Calf

Unavailable
Alex Rance – Knee (long term)
Trent Cotchin – Hamstring (short – medium term)
Jack Higgins (long term)

https://www.richmondfc.com.au/season/injury-list
----------------------------------------------------

Player                 Injury         Estimated Return
 Trent Cotchin     Hamstring     1-2 weeks
 Jack Higgins     Brain bleed     Season
 Callum Moore     Ankle     Test
 Alex Rance     Knee     Season
 Sydney Stack     Calf     Test
 Updated: Tuesday, August 6

Early prognosis

One of Richmond's shortest injury lists for the season at the right time of the year. Moore is a chance to make his return in the VFL from a fractured ankle this weekend. Stack is less likely to play against Carlton, with the club wanting to be cautious with a first-year player who has a soft-tissue injury. Cotchin is still a week or two away. - Sarah Black

4. RICHMOND

Injury list

Trent Cotchin (hamstring) — test

Dylan Grimes (ankle) — TBC

Jack Higgins (brain bleed) — season

Toby Nankervis (soreness) — test

Alex Rance (knee) — season

Sydney Stack (ankle) — TBC

The Tigers’ injury list has diminished significantly, with the majority of their stars back into the club’s best 22. Skipper Trent Cotchin only just missed selection this week and should be a lock to return for the club’s blockbuster match against Brisbane at the MCG on Sunday, as should Toby Nankervis. But Sydney Stack (ankle) could be done for the year, with the talented youngster to undergo surgery after succumbing to injury in the VFL. Fears were allayed when Dylan Grimes (ankle) returned to the field on Sunday, but the defender could be touch and go to feature against the Lions. Alex Rance (ACL) ruled out an unlikely return earlier this month.

Early prognosis

Stack underwent surgery on Monday night for an ankle syndesmosis injury which occurred in the VFL. Grimes will need to get through training, while Cotchin should be right to go this round after being held over an extra week. The picture isn't as clear for Nankervis, who is battling adductor/groin soreness stemming back to his long-term injury earlier this year. - Sarah Black
