Yeah that's the one. I thought he was a half forward or a forward tall at least but it's moot now.

He was Plugger MkII

Full forward or bust for old Reece. Pity he had the problems he did.

Yep. One of the worst kicking techniques ever. He couldn't hit a barn by foot.

Yep EEA, that's the one.

In those days (2007) pure athleticism was trendy and IIRC before he was drafted some phantom drafts even had him going in the first round lol. They just ignored his total lack of a basic kicking technique. No surprise he slid to the PSD.

Thank gawd we got our first two picks right in the 2007 draft because we bombed out on the rest  :help.

2. Cotchin
18. Rance
19. traded for Jordan McMahon
35. traded for Mitch Morton
51. Dean Putt

PSD: Dave Gourdis

Rookie draft:
1. Clayton Collard
17. Jarrod Silvester
33. Tristan Cartledge
47. Cameron Howat

Gourdis was talked up as being everything from the next Richo to the Greek Buddy... :shh

Yeah, I remember it well, I was one of those caught up in the hype. Back in the day when x-factor was the buzzword in recruiting.

To be fair, he was an exceptional athlete. But I think I remember him best for having Jessie Habermann (now Marc Murphy's missus) as his girlfriend when he played for us.

What's our hit ratio with bad kids troubled young men. About 50 50?
